LocalBoy Studio uses your email address to send the launch announcement and occasional studio news, tips and inspiration when you sign up.
How signup works
We use Brevo to process signups, keep the subscriber list and send emails. You join the list after clicking the confirmation link sent to your address. Brevo also processes technical information associated with signup and email delivery, such as timestamps and IP addresses.
Your subscriber record
We keep your confirmed email address, subscription status and signup history to manage the launch list. We may also keep relevant notes and email delivery, click and unsubscribe information provided by Brevo. Access is restricted to authorised LocalBoy staff. Unconfirmed signup records expire after 30 days.
Website traffic
We count page requests on our server to understand which pages, referring websites and campaign links bring people to LocalBoy. These reports use daily totals for pages, approximate country, device category, referral hostname and campaign labels. They do not use tracking cookies, visitor identifiers or fingerprinting, and are not linked to subscriber records. We do not store full IP addresses, raw browser identifiers or full referral URLs in these counters. Known automated requests are counted separately.
We also use Cloudflare’s aggregated traffic reports, including historical page views, requests, unique IP counts and approximate countries. Those reports can include automated traffic and our subdomains. Direct website totals are kept for 180 days and are collected independently of the optional attribution choice below.
Launch signup reminder
We show a small launch signup reminder while you browse. Dismissing it hides it in this browser for 14 days; submitting the form hides it for 180 days. These preferences contain no email address and are not used to track your browsing.
Optional signup attribution
If you choose “Allow attribution”, we measure page views, approximate country, device category, referring website and campaign link details. A random session identifier connects visits within the same browsing session. We remember the first recorded source for up to 30 days so we can understand how people find us. If you sign up, that source can be linked to your subscriber record after email confirmation.
Session-based signup attribution is off until you allow it. You can change your choice using “Privacy choices” in the footer. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Declining analytics does not prevent newsletter signup; we still record the submission and confirmation without browsing attribution.
Detailed website events are kept for up to 180 days. Anonymous campaign totals can be kept longer. Your analytics choice is remembered for 180 days. Subscriber records and relevant notes are kept while needed to manage your subscription, until you request deletion or the record is removed. We use limited technical information to help prevent abuse. Cloudflare may process network information to deliver and secure the service.
Reports and concerns
We use the information you provide when you report a concern to investigate and follow up if needed. Your name and email are optional.
Reports are kept during review and deleted 180 days after closure. To ask about your report or request deletion, contact us and include your reference if available.
Stay in control
You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter. To ask about your subscription or request removal of your information, email nick@localboystudio.com. An unsubscribe record may be retained to avoid emailing you again.
Our service providers
The website is hosted by Cloudflare and subscriptions are handled by Brevo. See Brevo’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy for how they process information, including processing outside your country.
